Postpartum Support

This is by far one of the, if not the, most profound and important transformations of your life and society hasn’t done the best job of preparing us for it… Not only are you physically recovering from the birth of your babe but you are feeling the intense emotional sequela of rapidly shifting hormones and, of course, sleep deprivation. I am here to help! Depending on your provider’s approach to postpartum care you may not see a healthcare provider until six weeks postpartum unless there is a complication prior and unfortunately the complication is usually quite progressed by the time you have expert eyes and hands on you to help. Professional organizations like ACOG are beginning to acknowledge this severe inadequacy in care but, although the intention to change is there, engrained traditions are slow to adapt. This offering includes a home visit from me to come and tailor your support in any and all ways you, your partner and your new addition may need: physically, emotionally, psychologically, spiritually… You not only just birthed your new baby but an entirely new being in and of yourself and I will be there to support all who need it. Whether that be assisting with breastfeeding, getting laundry/dishes done or just watching your sweet one so you can get rest or sneak off with your honey to connect.
